Because it is structurallysimilar to human collagen, this product does not require skin testing.Collagen is a fibrous extracellular protein forming connective tissue of dermis.Collagen is inherently low in antigenicity and the most of its antigenicity areassumed to result from the telopeptide regions.TheraFill Atelocollagen Filler shows minimal antigen reaction because of the lack oftelopeptides by treatment with pepsin.
