► Origin of Omija (Schisandra)

 Omija (Schisandra) blooms red-white fragrant flowers with 6 to 8 petals about June to July in Korea, and the fruits ripen red about August to September.

Omija (Schisandra) is a name given to the fact that it has 5 flavors, sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty. That is why it is called Omija - a fruit with 5 flavors.

Omija (Schisandra) in Korea has been known for its high quality since ancient times. Omija (Schisandra), yielded in the whole region of Mt. Hwangjang in Dongro-myeon, Mungyeong-si, which is currently the largest yielding area, is so famous that it has been listed as a regional specialty in various historical geography books since the Joseon Dynasty.

Mungyeong is the midpoint of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, and Omija (Schisandra) has the characteristic of growing well on the mountainside at an altitude of 500 to 700m above sea level, therefore, it seems that a natural habitat was formed in this region.

> Anti-aging

• Evaluate the skin moisturizing and elasticity improvement effects through device evaluation using a skin meter

• 20 healthy Korean female subjects between the ages of 30 to 40 were targeted

• The formulation applied with SG-Omija Extract 5% was applied with an appropriate amount to the designated eye area 

  twice a day and then made sufficiently absorbed (for 23 days).

> Whitening

• Evaluate the skin whitening effect through device evaluation and visual evaluation using a skin meter

• 25 Korean female subjects between the ages of 30 to 40 with pigmentation phenomena were targeted

• Apply the prototype with SG-Omija Extract 5% to the artificially induced pigmentation twice a day and made sufficiently absorbed (for 8 weeks)
