Salicylic acid has the effect of exfoliating and improving acne, but its solubility in water is very low, so an excess of alcohol or polyol is used to maintain its efficacy. However, this causes crystallization at a low temperatures and skin irritation is increased or efficacy is reduced.
BioGenic Sallic-210 maximizes the solubilization of pure salicylic acid using unique Oligomer Complex technology.
Active content is about 50% powder type and can be applied in various ways according to purpose such as anti-acne, exfoliation, skin brightening, et cetra., at up to 4% in the formulation without crystallization. Here, the salicylic acid content needs to be confirmed according to national regulations.
Pure salicylic acid also has very low solubility in water, which may cause skin irritation when dissolved with alcohol or other solvents.
